We are delighted to welcome Shannon Smith, a chef and world traveler from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her travels have spanned 53 countries, where she meets local chefs and home cooks who share their recipes and traditions. Shannon, in turn, brings them back to the U.S. and shares with her fans. Today we cook from her newly released cookbook, The Hidden Table; a collection of stories and recipes from around the world. Our menu includes some of Shannon's favorite recipes from our corner of the globe including: Salt Crusted Potato Nachos, Shrimp Aguachile, Chips & Salsa Verde, Chiles en Nogada, and for dessert; Churros & Chocolate.
